Westerman Unveils New Single "Spring"
Westerman has launched his latest single, "Spring," which is part of his upcoming album, A Jackal's Wedding, set for release on November 7th through Partisan Records. The music video for the single was filmed at the Bageion Hotel in Athens, Greece.
Written while touring in America, "Spring" emerged in Utah as Westerman reflected on a past relationship. The song delves into the conflict between guarding one's emotions and the desire for reconnection, portraying a heartfelt exploration of vulnerability. Westerman's vocals are intimate and soothing, inviting listeners into his moment of realization. The track is anchored by a poignant chord progression.
The album was crafted during Westerman's transition from London to Greece, where he spent several years before moving to Milan. Collaborating with producer Marta Salogni, they utilized the eclectic setting of the Old Carpet Factory, a 17th-century mansion in Hydra, to create a diverse range of synth sounds.
